Ethical sourcing policy statement

St John Ambulance Supplies ( SJAS ) is the division of St John Ambulance which centrally sources goods for use by the charity. This policy covers the approach taken by SJAS in sourcing goods from overseas (or from UK based companies which themselves source from overseas). It does not cover the acquisition of services, as St John Ambulance provides all its services to the public directly.

St John Ambulance Supplies’ policy is to seek to source and purchase goods which are produced and delivered under conditions that do not involve the abuse or exploitation of any persons; encompassing the following aspects:

• Child/forced labour
• Conditions of work
• Health and Safety
• Discrimination
• Wages
• Hours of work
• Environment.
