Peter Holland Esq CBE DL
Peter Holland is Chairman of the National
Policing Improvement Agency. He was previously Vice Chairman of the
Association of Police Authorities.
A journalist by profession, he worked for Reuters for 23
years, where he held various senior roles.
Peter was on the board of Centrex and the Police Information and
Technology Organisation. He chaired Hertfordshire Police Authority,
Telecommunications Ombudsman Service, and Ombudsman Service Ltd. He
was awarded the CBE for services to policing.
Currently Peter is chairman of the charity Herts in Trust and is
Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire. Married with one daughter,
he enjoys sailing, tennis and scuba diving.
He has been a trustee and Chairman of the Audit Committee since
2005.
