Clinical Governance policy statement
The purpose of this protocol and its
supporting procedures, which constitute management instructions, is
to ensure that:
- each county implements the
SJA
clinical governance framework and
operates within it
- each county provides its service in
accordance with the
SJA
clinical governance standard operating procedures (
SOP
)
- all
SJA
volunteers and staff at every level
in
SJA
in the Priory for
England and the Islands (
SJA
) shall comply with and adhere to the
current
SJA
regulations,
policies, standards and procedures in order to provide an improving
quality of service which meets the changing demands of law,
regulation and standards of best practice including those embraced
by the Department of Health (
DOH
) National Institute of Health and
Clinical Excellence (NICE)
and any other appropriate bodies.
- all
SJA
volunteers and staff keep themselves
up to date and operate in accordance with any changes and
developments in regulations, policies, procedures and standards of
best practice at all times. They are required to recognise the
limits of their skill, ability, competence and personal fitness and
act within them.
