Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities, keeping people safe at events, and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls.

Several positions have arisen within of St John Ambulance, in London. We are looking to appoint a number of Emergency Transport Attendants/ECA or similar to join our Ambulance Operations team.

You will be responsible for responding to emergency calls transporting critically ill children and babies, while working alongside medical teams in highly pressured environments, providing high quality, professional and compassionate care at all times.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be a qualified Emergency Transport Attendant or similar (ECA/IHCD TECH)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years blue light diving experience.
  • Hold a C1 licence

Due to the nature of this role applicants must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as well as being able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidates will be expected to be available to work 42 hours a week, abide by the four-on-four-off shift system and will receive over 6 weeks paid holidays (including bank holidays) and the chance to buy or sell a week’s holiday.
