St John Ambulance is currently looking for people to join their team of ambulance crew. We can offer both full and part time positions and flexible terms. The work is varied and includes patient transport services, transport for urgent GP admissions, transportation and retrieval services for sick babies and children and support for NHS emergency ambulance services.
Ideal candidates will require enthusiasm, integrity, resilience, flexibility and a can-do attitude. Some experience of caring and / or customer service would be an advantage, but not essential as full clinical training will be provided. Training may be provided in a different region; therefore, the ability to commit to periods of time away from home is essential.
Positions are available at our Ossett Station and are for a fixed term of six months - because of the fixed term nature of this post we are not in a position to provide all of the clincial training required for this role and applicants must already hold an IHCD Technician qualification or similar qualification. If you do not hold a current IHCD Technician qualification please specificlly state in the supporting information section which qualification you hold so that we can ensure it meets the requirements for this role.
If you can offer flexibility, including the ability to work evenings and weekends, can keep calm under pressure and relish a challenge, we want to hear from you. You must have a full driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and therefore an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for successful candidates.
