Youth Recruitment Field Worker (Casual)
About the Role
As a Youth Recruitment Field Worker, you will work closely with the Regional Youth Manager and the Regional Development Officer to increase the capacity of youth units in specific, targeted areas. To achieve this goal, you will recruit new adult volunteers into our youth teams and promote the St John Ambulance youth programme in local communities, while building lasting relationships within the community to ensure the continued success of our youth programme.
This role can be based at any manned SJA Office in the Newcastke Upon Tyne and Durham region.
You will be passionate about helping us to create a positive and engaging experience for young people within the community by recruiting quality adult volunteers. Ideally, you will have experience working with young people, however, you must have previously worked with volunteers, either in a volunteer or employee role.
St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, providing first aid, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls. Much of our front-line delivery is provided by our dedicated and highly-trained volunteers.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people, many of them under 18, also learn how to save a life through our training, education and youth programmes.
Over the next decade, we have bold ambitions to help transform out-of-hospital care, having a positive impact on the people we treat, the communities we serve, and our own people.
