New Year's Day Parade
St John Ambulance volunteers represented
the nation’s leading first aid charity in the New Year's Day Parade
through the capital.
Members of the Isle of Sheppey St John Ambulance Band from Kent
marched and played along the route through London, starting at
Parliament Square and finishing at Berkeley Square.
The Band was joined in the prestigious parade by Sympathy, which
is the oldest St John Ambulance vehicle.
Sandra Stocker, Head of Priory Affairs said: 'Our volunteers
were thrilled to join the 10,000 participants in the biggest parade
yet. Having Sympathy driving along the route gave us the
opportunity to show the 55,000 people in the crowd a bit about our
history.
Our volunteers were thrilled to join the 10,000 other participants in the biggest parade yet.

'The band did a great job entertaining the public and we hope we
can take part again next year.'
