Sun shines for beach event
Whilst the rest of the country copes
with effects of devastating rainfall, music fans and St John
Ambulance volunteers in Weston-super-mare enjoyed glorious sunshine
at Sunday's
T4 on the Beach event.
Kind-hearted volunteers provided first aid support to the
400,000 strong crowd who took to the beach for the annual music
event.
As well as 30 staff assisting 140 patients throughout the day in
their two treatment centres and seven vehicles, volunteers
also helped in the rescue of two people stuck in mud on the
beach.
Thank you for all your help in assisting with the rescue of two victims trapped in the mud. We really appreciated the Land Rover you were able to supply in order to provide swift evacuation from the beach.

providing medical cover for this event as well as providing support
to flood victims in the north of the county.'
