Volunteers help at blaze in Lancashire
Dedicated St John Ambulance volunteers rushed to the scene of a
blaze in Lancashire in the early hours of this morning and set up a
rest centre for anxious residents evacuated from their homes.
After receiving a call out for a fire at a martial arts gymnasium
in Cross Street, Fleetwood at 05.25am this morning, St John
Ambulance representatives got to the scene in 20 minutes and set
about reassuring concerned residents.
Robin Gonard, Assistant County Commissioner Lancashire said: “The
early call out certainly demonstrated that our emergency plan is
very well rehearsed and this is clear from the very short response
time.
