Flood victims cared for by St John Ambulance
St John Ambulance volunteers are on
standby for another weekend of severe weather.
Divisions in South and West Yorkshire have been in action
since Monday of this week, providing support for the local
community in Rotherham and Sheffield. They were also kept on
standby whilst there was a risk of the Ulley
Reservoir dam breaking.
Two 4x4 vehicles with four crew members and nine ambulances were
called out to help with the situation.
Our members are still currently on standby and are fully
prepared to provide support for rest centres over the weekend
after another severe weather warning was issued for the next few
days.
