Brain Game success
Strictly Come Dancing star and
broadcaster, John Sergeant, confirmed that KPMG have
officially got the biggest brains in the City after they waltzed
away with the Brain Game trophy and helped raise over
£53,000 in aid of St John Ambulance.
Sergeant, who has been quizmaster at the event for five
years, has been quite a hit on the BBC series.
He said: 'It was a very enjoyable evening and much easier than
having to dance in front of ten million people. KPMG, who triumphed
once again, were very worthy winners.'
The whole evening has been such fun, especially at such a stressful time in the City, and we’re looking forward to next year already.

KPMG Team Leader
Karen Bloomfield, head of the KPMG team, said: ‘We are over the
moon to have won. We were quietly confident we’d do well but to
have beaten such tough competition feels amazing.
'The whole evening has been such fun, especially at such a
stressful time in the City, and we’re looking forward to next year
already. We also hope John does well in Strictly – he’s got our
vote!'
The fundraising 'Brain Game' quiz took place on Wednesday 15
October at the stunning London Guildhall. Lord Jeffrey
Archer acted as compère and charity auctioneer at the
event, which was sponsored by chartered accountants Dixon Wilson,
and raised over £10,000 of much needed funds to continue the life
saving work of St John Ambulance.
