St John Ambulance chosen for Waitrose charity donation

St John Ambulance has been chosen as one of three charities to benefit from the online Waitrose Community Matters scheme from 1 March to 31 May 2013.

Choosing your cause

Every three months, Waitrose.com splits a donation of £25,000 between three national causes and shoppers have the chance to vote for the charity of their choice.

After placing their order, Waitrose shoppers will be asked to vote for the charity they would like to receive a share of the donation and we’re asking as many people as possible to select St John Ambulance.

Our life saving mission

As the nation’s leading first aid charity, we believe that no one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. Even basic first aid skills can often be the difference between life and death. But less than 10% of the population is trained in first aid and, every year, up to 140,000 people die in situations where first aid could have given them the chance to live.

Everything we do works towards a single goal – ensuring that wherever and whenever a first aid emergency occurs, someone is equipped with the skills to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

Please help us save more lives in 2013 by voting for St John Ambulance. With your help, we can equip more and more members of the public with vital first aid skills.

Shop online at Waitrose now, and select St John Ambulance as your charity of choice.
