Joseph Ingoe
It was such an honour! I have so many opportunities to meet new people and represent the organisation.

Joseph Ingoe, Northumbria's Cadet of the Year, joined St John
Ambulance the week after his tenth birthday - just over seven years
ago.
Earlier on this year he was crowned deputy Cadet of the
Year and says it's one of the proudest moments of his
life.
'It was such an honour!' said Joseph. 'I have so many
opportunities to meet new people and represent the
organisation.'
In Northumbria Joe is very busy indeed. He covers first aid
duties at Newcastle United FC, concerts at the Carling
academy, the great north run and also attends Cadet camp
and social events throughout the year.
On top of this he has also arranged an autumn dinner dance with
the aim of raising the profile of St John Ambulance
youth.
Currently studying for his A-levels, he hopes that first aid
will be very much part of his life in the future. He plans to study
medicine at university and join the local LINKS group and would
love to travel and work in developing countries.
