'In May 2008 I will have worked here for five years.

I am in charge of software development for the organisation which includes development and support of our core applications. I also provide technical lead when outside contractors provide a service to St John Ambulance involving integration of existing or new applications.

The best aspects of my job are being involved in providing the organisation with the tools it needs to keep and enhance both its lead in the field and its reputation.

The work here is varied and challenging and the people are great. If you want to make a difference, whether you are volunteering in first aid at events or employed to provide a background support, everyone in the organisation makes a difference at some level.'
