About us
The
Harry Crook Centre, is located in Raleigh Road,
Bedminster. This spacious custom-built Training
Centre was funded by a successful major appeal in the mid-1990's
which was generously supported by many local
benefactors and charitable trusts, particularly The Harry
Crook Foundation.
The Centre, which consists of five fully
equipped training rooms and other meeting facilities,
incorporates the administrative HQ for the County, and includes in
a separate building a large garage for the front-line
ambulances and the central radio control room for major
Public Duties. The whole site was officially
opened on 23 January 1997 by Her Royal Highness,
The Princess Royal.
Our County Headquarters
During the working week the Harry Crook Centre
runs First Aid training courses for Commerce and
Industry, and in the evenings and at weekends is much used as a
centre for volunteer training and other
events; on Wednesday evenings a thriving Division
and Badger Sett meets at the Centre. Subject to
availability, rooms are available for hire by outside organisations
and there is ample car parking on site.
