Events in Bristol and Avon

After suitable training, members at Bishopston are able to go out ‘on duty’ which means to provide first aid or ambulance cover at events of all sizes across Bristol and Avon. These events range from small fetes and fairs up to the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. It also includes different sports as well as performances at venues like the Hippodrome and Colston Hall.

The members are there as first aiders or crewing our Crusader ambulance. Other members may be in charge of the first aid post. There is even the opportunity for some members to be ‘in control’ which means using the radio and computer to record where the other members and ambulances are and send them to a casualty when needed.
