Cadets
Being a Cadet offers you the opportunity
to learn and use first aid, as well as have fun
and adventures.
To become a Cadet just email us and will will
discuss current opportunities. Our cadet unit is very popular, so
there could be a small delay before you can join.
Training and events
Before enrolling, Cadets complete their Membership Award which
explores what being a Cadet is all about and gives them a taste of
first aid. Once Cadets have completed the Membership Award they
will have the opportunity to attend public events and see first aid
in action.
The next stage is completing the Young First Aider course, which
provides opportunities which enable them to put their first aid and
communication skills into practice by helping provide first aid
cover at public events.
Grand Prior Award
Cadets take part in a full programme working towards their
Grand Prior Award. At each
award stage you will be given a badge to wear on your
uniform.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
Cadets can also undertake the Duke of Edinburgh Award
scheme once 14 years old. Bradley Stoke can start you on your
way or support people already involved with the scheme.
