Bristol LINKS at public events

Avon Crusader on duty

Bristol LINKS volunteers provide First Aid cover at a large number of public events in the Bristol area.

We currently cover the Anson Rooms, a 1000-capacity music venue at the University of Bristol Union. Recently we have provided cover at gigs such as the Kaiser Chiefs, Electric Six, the Futureheads and Thirteen Senses. We also cover the majority of student balls at University halls of residence, in the Students' Union and elsewhere in the area.

We regularly provide first aiders for events at Bristol's Colston Hall (recent performances have included Lemar, Zero 7, The Streets, Natasha Beddingfield, Elvis Costello and many more), and also at the Bristol Hippodrome where we have covered performances such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, Starlight Express, Cats, Chicago and many others.

We often cover other events in the area, which in recent months have included Athletic Union intramural football matches, charity swimathons, judo tournaments and open air theatre.

We have also assisted at large events covered by St John Ambulance in Avon, working alongside many other St John volunteers from other units across the county. Recently these have included the University half marathon, Bath half marathon and Bath International Festival.

If you'd like to get involved with assisting at these events, then please come along and join us!

If you're organising an event in or around Bristol University and you would like to enquire about the provision of First Aid cover please contact our Operations Coordinator.
