Christmas Bazaar

Come and visit us at our Woodley headquarters on Saturday 28 November between 10.30am and 4.00pm for our first ever Christmas Bazaar or join us in the evening for a festive fundraising event featuring the Reading Barberettes, ladies barbershop singers.

The first event of the day, the Christmas Bazaar will be taking place at our own headquarters in Church Road, Woodley. Entry and parking are both free. Visitors will be able to browse a range of stalls in search of unique, affordable gift ideas and throughout the day, refreshments and cakes will be on sale with proceeds going to the first aid charity.

The Bazaar will also provide an opportunity for people to support St John Ambulance by purchasing an envelope from their Tree of Gifts. Each envelope will contain a product or service donated by a local business ranging in value from £1 to over £100 for the purchaser to enjoy. Tickets for the charities Christmas raffle will also be on sale, for £1 each, with a first prize of £500 up for grabs.

Speaking in anticipation of both events county fundraiser for St John Ambulance Royal Berkshire, Kim Adrian said: ‘ Someone could buy a ticket in the morning and who knows they could be a winner by the end of the day! The Barberettes have kindly offered to help us with our fundraising by performing and we know from previous events that they are a real crowd pleaser. We are looking forward to both events and hope that local people will come along and support us during the day, in the evening or both.’

In the evening the second of the festive fundraisers will begin at 7.30pm with a mini concert by The Reading Barberettes who sing popular songs in unaccompanied four part harmony followed by a drinks reception and the drawing of the Christmas raffle.
