Medical services for your event

St John Ambulance are able to provide an extensive range of medical services tailored to your event.  From first aid staff and emergency ambulances to mobile field hospitals. We are also able to assist you with risk assessment and planning.

First aid teams

The vast majority of our volunteers are trained to First aid at work (health and safety executive qualification) standard as a minimum with most acquiring additional skills, including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and medical gas administration.

Ambulances

With the largest fleet of modern purpose built ambulances in the UK St John Ambulance in Cambridgeshire are able to provide fully trained crews and vehicles to your event.

Cycle response teams

Cambridgeshire operates a small fleet of purpose built bicycles equipped with life saving equipment and crewed by first aid or ambulance trained personnel.  The bikes are ideal if you are attempting to cover a large area, for example walking and running events.

Health care practitioners

In addition to first aid and ambulance personnel we are able to provide registered paramedics, nurses and doctors.

Full complement of cover

You may require just one of the above services or a combination.  For a full complement of medical services we are also able to provide mobile command and control facilites as well as mobile treatment centres.

Once we have received your information we will carry out a risk assessment and quote you for the level of cover we recommend. The more notice you can give us, the more likely it is that we will be able to provide cover for your event.
