St John Ambulance in Cambridgeshire are pleased to offer a professional patient transport service.

With our dedicated and flexible team operating to the highest standards we are able to cater for your needs.

Our service

We handle a variety of types of patient transport, including:

  • Admissions to and discharges from hospital, clinics and nursing homes;
  • Outpatient visits to medical facilities; 
  • Patients arriving by air, sea or rail to their homes or to a hospital anywhere in the UK;
  • Specialist transport and support of bedridden patients and those in wheelchairs.

One way or return

We can accomodate one-way, wait and return, or regularly scheduled trips.

Modern, purpose built vehicles

Some Cambridgeshire Ambulance's

St John Ambulance operate the largest fleet of purpose built ambulances in the UK.  All vehicles contain GPS, air conditioning and much more to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualified

All ambulance crews have undergone intensive training and are qualified in First aid at work, Moving and handling of patients and casualties, Adminstration of medical gases (Including ILS), Automated External Defibrillation, Pre-hospital fracture management and Emergency life support infant and child.  All crews hold an Emergency transport attendant qualification which is delivered and assessed by local NHS doctors and paramedics.

Our experience as a charity is reflected in our patient transport service.  St John Ambulance always puts the welfare and dignity of the patient first.  Our friendly staff will do all they can to help you.

Contracts large or small
