County youth assembly

St John Ambulance Cadets

St John Ambulance values all of our youth members. Being  one of the leading youth groups, we believe that every member should have a say in how the organisation operates.

Here in Cornwall we believe that our members are best placed to help improve our county.  To help youth members in the county we have a youth charter which sets out rights and responsibilities as young people in the organisation.  Cornwall has an active youth assembly which is open to all members aged 25 and under.

Youth voice

To assist the youth members having a voice in the county, we have a dedicated youth assembly mentor who looks after the youth members and helps get their points of view across to the organisation.  The mentor also helps arrange events for the youth members such as proms and outings.  Besides the mentor the youth members have local forums that they can express their own views for others to see and comment on.

Within St John Ambulance we believe in youth participation and we value this at whatever level, whether you get involved in your local unit or at a county level.  We are here to help the community, but most of all we want our members to have a good time.  Contact us for details of local units.

The youth assembly gives young people a structured way to ensure St John Ambulance works for them. We believe that our youth members should have a chance to have a say about thier organisation.
