Volunteer with us

Members on duty at a football match

Our first aiders are a familiar and reassuring sight at public events including galas, football matches, parades, bonfires and concerts.

Without first aiders many of these events could not take place.  In the last year alone, our volunteers provided more than 190,000 hours service to the local community - treating 5600 patients, transporting 123 emergency casualties, and providing social care for almost 100 people.

A range of volunteering opportunities are available. Adults may be interested in becoming Cycle or Community First Responders. For children aged between 5 and 10 there are Badgers. Our Cadets are always looking for young people between the ages of 10 and 18. Whatever volunteer position you choose, you can be rest assured you will be making a real difference to the community.

St John Ambulance is also committed to promoting diversity and has a multi-faith division in the Peartree and Normanton area of Derby.
