Community First Responders

Community First Responders are volunteers
trained to attend emergency calls received by the
ambulance service and provide care until the
ambulance arrives. They can arrive at an emergency in a matter of
minutes, as they are sent to calls in their local
area.
Working in partnership with East Midlands
Ambulance Service, Our Community First Responder scheme is one of
the biggest in the UK with volunteers operating out of 15
units across the county.
St John Ambulance Community First Responders
operate across the county including the areas of Hope Valley,
Chesterfield, Ashbourne, Eyam, Hilton, Dronfield, Long Eaton,
Brassington, Bakewell, Church Wilne (Ockbrook, Borowash &
Draycott), Whaley-Chapel, Tibshelf, Peartree & Normanton,
Castle Donington – with more planned.
