St John Ambulance Durham provides expert services at the biggest venues in the county and at community events throughout Durham and Darlington.

Our volunteers are a familiar sight at most events, ready to treat any kind of first aid incident from cuts and bruises to heart attacks and even the unexpected delivery of a baby.

We are the first aid and pre-emergency provider of choice for over 1,000 event organisers across the county.

We cover events of all sizes whether they are school fetes, concerts and sporting activities or Durham's trademark events like the Miners' Gala and Durham Cathedral events.

St John Ambulance is a long standing partner of the emergency services, regularly working on behalf of NHS Trusts. We have a long standing, hard won reputation for excellence and are confident that our record and reputation speaks for itself. We will meet your first aid needs no matter what the size and scale of your event, and our ambulance services are fully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

How to book our services

When enquiring about medical cover our general policy is to ask for 28 days notice - please feel free to contact us, even if your event is closer, as we will always try our best to help you.

Fill out our event questionnaire to begin. We will use this information to put together an individual risk assessment allowing us to recommend the level of medical cover required for your event. We will then provide you with a quote and confirmation of your cover.
