Event medical services
St John Ambulance in Chelmsford has a
long history of providing first
aid and ambulance support at events in
central Essex.
Our service at events is free to the people we
treat. All St John Ambulance personnel attending are
volunteers and receive no
payment. However, the organisers of events are charged for
the costs of providing the service at the event.
The charges reflect the cost of training, equipment and vehicles
we use. A fully functional ambulance costs around £70,000. A
major first aid unit costs around £75,000

possible, however we are limited only by our number of volunteers. By booking early you can ensure that St John Ambulance
