About us
St John Ambulance in
Harlow was formed in 1928 and ever since has worked with
the community to keep people safe.
During 2006, our
volunteers helped you at over 35
local community events and gave over 5,700
hours of their time voluntarily.
History
Our ambulance station in Old Harlow was built in around
1931 and was founded by Dr William Norman Booth.
The building has since been extended so that it can garage two
ambulances and was renovated in 2003.
Today
All of our volunteers are trained in the latest first
aid and ambulance skills fit for their role and have the
help of an array of equipment and vehicles to support them in their
work.
Whilst we are always known for our first aid background, St John
Ambulance has a whole host of other services and activities in
addition to first aid that you might not know existed!
