Outline charges for event medical services
St John Ambulance is a registered charity
but makes a small charge for the provision of our services. The
charges applied reflect the cost of training, equipment and
replacement equipment which we use.
In order to supply a fully functional ambulance costs around
£52,000. This expenditure is therefore gained back in public event
charges over the vehicles lifespan.
Outline charges for 2007
- £150 for an ambulance and two crew;
- £124 for a mobile treatment unit and two first
aiders;
- £98 for a static treatment unit and two first
aiders;
- £18 per additional first aider;
- £56 for a nurse;
- £110 for a paramedic.
Please note that these prices are per 10 hour period and are
excluding VAT.
Additional costs may be incurred for duties where food is not
provided for our volunteers, for anti-social hours and for
over-running etc.
