Like all student societies at the University of Essex, LINKS gives our members the chance to have a good time.

Socials? But isn't St John Ambulance all about first aid?

The saying "All work and no play makes a dull boy" is as true in St John Ambulance as in life itself. Socials give all our volunteers the opportunity to bond as a group and get to know each other outside the organisation.

LINKS in particular is all about making friends whilst at university, and these friendships show in an ability to work as a team whilst on duty tending to any casualties.

At the University of Essex socials at the beginning of the academic year to welcome new members are an essential part of the induction programme. Christmas and end of year socials are other regular events along with occasional extra events throughout the term time.
