Bank Holiday Garden fair
Gardening expert Andy McIndoe is set to
return to the popular Bishop’s Waltham charity garden
fair at the Palace Ruins, on Sunday 2 May
from 10am-4pm.
Fair is blooming
The Hilliers Director made his debut in
2008 and enjoyed it so much he is returning to answer more
gardening questions next month.
He is not the only one returning to the
fair. Regular stall holders have booked their places again and this
year another 20 stalls have asked to join the event – which last
year raised nearly £10,000 for St John Ambulance
Hampshire.
Stallholders, gardeners and families return year after year because it is such a wonderful day out!
Joan Ferrer
Chairman, Garden Fair committee
Organiser Joan Ferrer is delighted with
the plans: ‘Our garden fair is positively blooming,’ she said.
‘Stallholders, gardeners and families return year after year
because it is such a wonderful day out!
‘We are really looking forward to the
fair, which provides such a lovely garden party atmosphere for
everyone who comes along!’
Cuff Billett’s roving jazz band will once
again provide toe tapping tunes and organisers have managed to keep
the entry price the same as previous years – just £3.50 for
adults with children under 14 free.
Once again there will be a children’s
corner, with colouring and planting.
The popular event, is in aid of St John Ambulance Hampshire and
attracts around 2,000 visitors each year.
