Volunteers set up rest centre
A team of volunteers from St John
Ambulance was mobilised to help six families who were evacuated
from their homes near Romsey.
Open for four hours
The four strong crew, which included a nurse
and an emergency transport attendant, set up a rest centre at West
Wellow Village Hall for four hours.
The group stayed at the rest centre until they
found alternative accommodation.
We are often called in to run rest centres and provide transport for the public at these types of emergency.
