Community and Schools Training

Community training

Giving chest compressionsAt St John Ambulance we believe that no-one should suffer for the lack of a trained first aider and that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them.

We believe that everyone can learn first aid, so we offer specially designed community first aid courses that run in the daytime, evening or weekends to fit around your schedule.

We welcome young people from the age of 12 onto all our community courses, however, if you are under the age of 16, you must attend with a responsible adult family member or guardian (up to two young people per adult).

These courses start from as little as £25 per person and are 2-3 hours long making it easy for you to learn the skills that could help you to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

I'd highly recommend it. The session was great fun, really practical, and we had a good laugh which I think has made us all feel more comfortable with a pretty serious subject. I never thought I'd spend my Monday evening rolling around on a pub floor but it has definately helped me to learn some important skills and I'd feel much more confident dealing with an emergency now.
