Half a Century of Service Recognised
Neil Loader’s fifty
years of volunteering for St John
Ambulance’s Dover Unit was recognised at an awards
ceremony recently.
In recognition of the commitment and
loyal service to the charity Neil was presented
with an engraved plaque, a service medal ribbon denoting the Order
of St John medal and four gilt crosses in recognition of his
faithful service.
Delighted to be recognised in this way, Neil said: 'Many things
have changed over the years including first aid techniques. But the
overriding factor still remains that first aid saves
lives.'
Jason Turner, senior member of the Dover Unit, presented Neil
with his award and added: 'Neil has provided all his time
voluntarily and with such passion and
dedication. Many people in the Dover area have
been helped by his goodwill and this recognition award is a token
gesture of that effort.'
