MP praises work of Sittingbourne Division

MP meets Sittingbourne members and new ambulance

GORDON Henderson MP praised the hard work of members of the Sittingbourne Division of St John Ambulance in a special visit to their headquarters on 25th August.

During his visit Mr Henderson met with a number of the charity's dedicated volunteers, as well as being shown the newly arrived state-of-the-art ambulance, which was partly funded by donations from the people and businesses of Sittingbourne.

St John Ambulance Kent Commissioner, Martin Phippen, who accompanied Mr Henderson on his visit said:

'We are enormously grateful to Gordon Henderson for giving up his time to come and meet our team. The time spent with him brought great discussions about our accomplishments and about his eagerness to help in the future in whatever way he could. He was also very positive about the fact that we have raised the money for the vehicle and praised our hard work within the community.'
