Dartford Mural lifts the spirits
Collaboration between
the Cadets and Badgers at St John Ambulance
Dartford and the town’s local youth group has
transformed a once drab garage door into a
fantastic piece of contemporary
artwork.
'We were approached by an area youth
worker for Dartford, during the Dartford Festival as they were keen
to know if we had an art project they could work on,' Joanne Eade
of the Dartford Division says.
After discussions with all the members it was
agreed that our old garage door at the back of the premises was in
need of some 'TLC' and a revamp. With lots of input from our
Cadets and Badgers, the final design was chosen. The result is a
bright, fun and modern outlook.
We would like to say a huge thank
you to graffiti artist, Mark Peachey, for all his work and
involvement in the project.’
The great news is the division's relationship
with the Dartford Youth Council is far from over. St John
Ambulance Dartford will be providing the Youth Council with first
aid training and in return, with additional assistance from
Homebase, they are going to regenerate the front garden at Serena
Hall.
