Cadets in Lancashire
Cadets is for anyone aged between
10 and 17 years old. There are 13 Cadet units located in
Lancashire.
Cadets take part in an exciting range of
activities working towards their Grand Prior Award.
The programme allows Cadets to learn important life
skills whilst having fun and making new friends.
To complete the Grand Prior Award cadets can chose from
over seventy subjects these include photography,
first aid and sport.
In addition to learning life saving skills, cadets can
teach first aid to other young people and
adults in addition to providing first aid support
at public events across the county. In Lancashire these events have
recently include:
- Blackpool Illuminations
- Summer Carnivals
- Football matches including Blackburn Rover, Preston North End
and Blackpool FC
- National Firework Championships

- Chorley
- Kirkham
- Lonsdale (Morecambe)
- Lytham St Annes
- Nelson and Brierfield
- Ormskirk
- Penwortham and Hutton
- Preston
- Wyre
