Bank holiday first aid

Volunteer treating a patient with a leg wound

Dedicated volunteers in Leicestershire and Rutland  treated over 100 patients during a busy bank holiday weekend.

As well as offering 24-hour first aid cover at three major events, volunteers were also on hand at numerous smaller events across the county.

Commitment

'Our volunteers provided a staggering 1139 hours voluntary service this weekend' said John Wright, Acting Commissioner (Operations) and duty officer for the Caravan Club Rally at Prestwold Hall.

Our volunteers donned their uniforms and rolled up their sleeves, allowing festival goers, racing fans, and caravaneers alike the opportunity to enjoy the glorious spring bank holiday sunshine.
