Volunteers and employees of St John Ambulance in Leicestershire and Rutland bid a sad farewell to their County Executive Officer recently.

After two years serving the local community, David Snutch said goodbye at a suprise party hosted in the Leicestershire headquarters of the first aid charity.

Sorely missed

‘He will be sorely missed’ said Samantha West, County Marketing Officer and Interim CEO.

‘Dave has given tremendous support to both volunteers and paid staff alike, leaving some big boots to fill!  He has been fantastic not only for morale, but also for the county as a whole and has proven to be a real team player’.

Dave is leaving St John Ambulance Leicestershire and Rutland to join the Commercial Training Department of the charity, a new initiative to consolidate training services under one umbrella, becoming one of the regional directors.

Reflecting on his time in Leicester, Dave said ‘I have learnt a lot since I joined and have worked with some wonderful people who I will miss, but hope to keep in touch with whilst looking forward to the new challenges that lay ahead’.

Dave was presented with various gifts, including a commemorative plaque as a small token of appreciation for all the hard work he has put in.
