Spectacular start to a special week
The Special Olympics got off to a
spectacular start at the opening ceremony last weekend at
Leicester's Walkers Stadium.
St John Ambulance combined forces
with the British Red Cross in Leicestershire and Rutland,
and provided 41 volunteer first aiders
for the ceremony.

The charity won't just be providing first aid volunteers, but
will also be providing ambulance crews and volunteers to work in
the event control room - working with staff from other agencies,
ensuring smooth running of the event.
As if this wasn't enough, St John Ambulance volunteers can also
be found at the British Moto
GP at Donington Park which is now
well underway.
