There's snow stopping us

Volunteer on duty at Leicester Tigers

With many wrapped up in their winter woolies, there was definitely no snow stopping play as dedicated volunteers from across Leicestershire and Rutland turned out to provide first aid cover as Leicester Tigers beat London Wasps this weekend.

Icy

With snow interfering with play at most sporting venues, Leicester Tigers continued, and our volunteers weren't disappointed as the home team played their way to the top of the table.

'It was a sell out crowd this weekend and our volunteers were out in force despite the icy weather to ensure that the match could go ahead safely,' said Pam Wood, St John Ambulance Duty Officer.

'Although we don't come to see the game, we come to help the fans, it's always nice when the home team win!'.

Leicester Tigers is just one of many sporting venues up and down the country that has St John Ambulance volunteers attending at every match to provide first aid cover. If you'd like to volunteer with us or would like to use our services at your event, why not contact us now?
