Adult volunteering

All members receive basic training in first aid and manual handling. From there it is up to you to decide what you want to do.

Our roles that involve direct patient contact are detailed below, but we are also interested in hearing from potential youth leaders or support workers.

Perhaps you'd like to fulfil more than one role?

First aiders

Uniformed volunteers have the opportunity to attend events for free providing first aid cover at a variety of local and national events. All our first aiders receive full training and a uniform for free, with the option to learn additional skills if you want. This is something fantastic to put on your CV and can fit around your day job.

Advanced first aid

Expand your skills, learn how to use an automated external defibrillator and more. This role is a great way to further your knowledge and really help you in job interviews, making you stand out above the rest. And remember all this is for free!

Ambulance aid

Our ambulance attendants carry out emergency and non-emergency work, both at events and supporting our statutory colleagues in times of need. Full training is provided from State Registered Paramedics and extensive support is available for those wishing to undertake this qualification.

As with all roles, becoming an ambulance attendant is completely free, but we do require a time commitment. The rewards can be immense and we think are well worth it in the long run.

If you're interested in any of these roles, or would like more information then why not contact us or give us a call on 0116 208 1033. We are always happy to hear from you.
