Runner being treated at marathon

St John Ambulance in Leicestershire and Rutland is looking for health care professionals (HCP's) from all walks of life - including proffessions alied to medicine - to join their team.

As an HCP within St John Ambulance you will have the opportunity to extend your skills with emergency and first aid and much more. As well as being ideally placed to keep abreast of developments in this ever changing field.

Within the county we already have several doctors, nurses, and paramedics. We would like to hear from other disciplines as well.

What does it involve

  • As with all members, HCP’s are volunteers and are asked to give as much or as little time as they can.
  • HCP’s typically support first aiders, offering their expertise and input as required with a range of differing and sometimes challenging cases.
  • HCP’s are a vital part of our structure enabling us to provide a  better service to the public and being there to help people when they need us most.
  • As an HCP within St John you will not only have the opportunity to attend events but will also be able to involve yourself in the training of members at their units educating them in best practice.

If you are interested in joining, or would like to find out more, then please contact us.
