Youth participation

We believe in a society where every young person has the opportunity to speak out about what matters to them, and is given the opportunity to take part in a varied and balanced programme of activities.

We believe that the best way to do this is by asking the young people of the organisation what they want from us.

Lead team

To enable us to do this we have a lead team, made up of young volunteers from across the county. They consult with the other young people in the county and work with the youth officers and youth leaders to put together a varied and exciting programme, open to all our young people. Annual highlights include the youth ball, and the Cadet and Badger camps.

Other activities that have been organised include youth participation days, where young people from across the county meet to do things that they want to do. This is an opportunity for adults and young people alike to have fun and learn something new, as well as the elections for the new lead team who will plan the coming years activities.
