About us

Old Ambulance

Stamford is a division with a past to be proud of and a bright future ahead of it

History

Established in 1924 to provided the first ambulance service for the people of Stamford, the division continued to expand and provide a range of services to local people.

The division today

Although we no longer fulfil the role of primary ambulance service, we continue the tradition of first aid provision. 2006 saw our members contribute 10,000 hours of voluntary time to the community, making good use of the division's resources too support local events.

Our young people

Recently the Cadet section was opened, since then it has gone from strength to strength and now has 18 young people regularly attending, all working towards their Grand Prior Award. A success only possible by the dedication of our youth leaders.

Looking to the future

During 2007 we hope that our headquarters will under go a major refurbishment, and that we will raise enough funds for a new multi-purpose vehicle. Both of these projects are a major undertaking, but we are sure the efforts will pay dividends.

We in Lincolnshire are proud to include this multi-county town, with its example of keenness and efficiency in all matters appertaining to Ambulance work.
