London (Prince of Wales) DistrictCarers Support Programme

St John Ambulance in London provides a Carers Support Programme to help people in a caring role.

The programme is led, developed and delivered by a dedicated team of experienced registered nurses. It is accredited by The Royal College of Nursing and supported by Islington County Council.

Providing care for others

The programme is delivered at various locations throughout London during four morning sessions, which are over four consecutive weeks. The programme is free of charge and is followed by a light lunch.

Is the programme for you?

  • Would you like the opportunity to gain more skills and knowledge to help you in your caring role?
  • Would you like training in basic first aid, safer moving and handling, falls prevention, managing continence and stress management?
  • Would you like to meet other carers to share experiences, advice and ideas?
  • Are you over the age of 18 and provide care for a member of your family, a friend or a neighbour?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions then St John Ambulance in London can help.
