London (Prince of Wales) DistrictLondon District volunteers prepare for the Chelsea Flower Show

First aiders from St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's) District will be on hand to make sure that keen gardeners and visitors are able to enjoy this year's Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show in safety.

Thousands of visitors expected

Members on duty at the Chelsea Flower Show. 

Up to 40 Volunteers will be deployed each day during the previews on 23 May and during the main show from 24-28 May to make sure first aid treatment is available to everyone who needs it.

St John Ambulance will also deploy two ambulances and set up three treatment centres at the show.

With dazzling gardens showcasing the latest designs, ideas and innovations, thousands of visitors are expected at this year’s event.

Ann Cable, Commissioner of St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's) District, said: 'We are proud to be providing first aid cover at the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show again this year. At St John Ambulance, we believe that first aid treatment should be available to everyone who needs it. Research shows that isn’t happening, so we are committed to being the difference between lives lost and lives saved.'
