London (Prince of Wales) DistrictMembers raise money for new equipment in 24-hour CPR challenge

Volunteers from Harrow and Harrow Weald Divisions have raised more than £2000 for new training equipment.

A long day

Members of Harrow Division have raised more than £2000 taking part in a 24-hour challenge.

The dedicated team performed CPR for 24 hours, starting in the town centre and continuing in an ambulance and then overnight at their headquarters.

As well as collecting donations, they trained members of the public in basic first aid.

They raised a total of £2250, which will be used to buy a new training mannequin.

A real success

Rebecca Pollard, who took part in the event, said: ‘The event was a real success, and we’re pleased to have raised so much money.’

First aiders from Harrow and Harrow Weald Divisions volunteer their time at many events, including Harrow in Leaf, summer fairs and the Virgin London Marathon.
