London first aiders on duty at top music events
Members of St John Ambulance London
(Prince of Wales’s) District have been on duty at two high profile
music events in the capital over the weekend.
A busy weekend
First aiders were at the BBC Proms in the Park
and at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park: A Festival In A
Day on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of September.
On Saturday, 19 people were
given first aid treatment and one was
taken to hospital. On Sunday, 34 were
treated, and a further one person was taken to
hospital.
The Charity’s first aiders could also be
seen on duty at the Mayor of London’s Thames
Festival over the weekend.
Proud to be involved at these popular events
Ann Cable, Commissioner for
St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales’s) District, said: ‘We
are proud to have been involved with these popular events. Our
Volunteers regularly give up their time to make sure they are the
difference between lives lost and lives saved by making sure that
first aid treatment is available to everyone who needs it.’
