Former Mayor to make welcome
presentation
The former Mayor of Ealing is preparing
to make a very special donation of £16,000 to London District's
Ealing Unit.
A valuable contribution for the unit
Barbara Yerolemou, President of Ealing Unit,
and last year’s Mayor of Ealing, selected St John Ambulance
as one of the charities that she would support during her
year in office.
She will make a cheque presentation to Paul Herbage, Deputy
Commissioner of St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's)
District in the Mayors Parlour on Wednesday 4th August.
The money raised is a valuable
contribution for the unit and it is hoped the
money will be used to purchase a minibus for use by the other
divisions in the Borough as well as training aids and potentially
life-saving equipment.
Margaret Griffiths, Borough Officer for
Ealing, said: We are delighted to be collecting this generous
cheque from The Mayor of Ealing and look forward to using the money
to enhance our services throughout the Borough.'
