New Badgers Sett-ling in
Youngsters in Upminster and Hornchurch
have been enjoying life
at their newly-founded Badger Sett after a
successful first month.
Learning new skills in a fun environment
After opening just one month ago, the Sett already has 12
Members, all aged between five and ten years old.
The Sett, which meets on Monday nights at
Langton Hall in Hornchurch, opened its doors for the first
time on February 28 and gives children the chance to
learn life skills in a fun and lively environment.
Their lifesaving skills will help them to be the difference between
a life lost and a life saved.
The Havering Borough of London District, which includes the
Upminster and Hornchurch Division, already has established Adult,
Cadet and Badger Units, but the decision to start a fourth Badger
Sett to welcome younger Members was made last year.
Grateful to everyone for their hard work
Havering Borough Officer Chris Beales said: 'The new Badger Sett
has been a great success already, and we are extremely grateful to
everyone for their hard work setting it up.
'We run all kinds of activities, from first
aid practice to crafts, so there is always lots of fun for our
youngest Members to enjoy.'
